At what age do most people get stomach cancer?
When it comes to risk of stomach cancer age is significant. 90 percent of people who are diagnosed with stomach cancer are over the age of 55. I also read that between 1998 and 2002, the median age for people diagnosed with stomach cancer was 72. Like most cancers, it tends to develop later in life.
Of course, for a very small percent of people with stomach cancer age doesn’t seem to matter (only 2 and a half percent of patients are diagnosed under the age of 34).
