The definition of stage 4 skin cancer (also known as stage IV skin cancer) is a cancer that has spread to other organs such as the lungs or brain. It is extremely uncommon for a basal cell lesion to become stage 4 skin cancer, and relatively uncommon for a squamous cell to reach stage 4. But melanoma can metastasize quickly, which is why it's so dangerous. I'm sorry to say that the survival rate for stage 4 skin cancer is not very good. Wish I had better news.
