According to what I read at the American Cancer Society website, there is a link between smoking and cervical cancer.
Though smoking on its own would not cause cervical cancer, because cervical cancer is caused by HPV, but apparently, if you smoke you increase your risk for cervical cancer.
So I am guessing that you increase your risk that you will develop cervical cancer if you are exposed to HPV. Does that make sense?
