Can you get skin cancer on the ear?
Absolutely. In fact, skin cancer on the ear is quite common. The reason, of course, is that our heads are exposed to the sun more often than any other part of the body. And since more then 90 percent of skin cancer cases are the result of long-term sun exposure, it stands to reason that a great many of the cases would develop on the ear. I think for skin cancer the ear is also a high-risk area because even folks who use sunscreen regularly tend not to think about putting it on their ears. I'm guilty of this myself!
