Why is it that oral cancer has a higher death rate than the other cancers, it disables and disfigures, yet it is ignored? I have been in a war for two years with it and doing my best to beat the five year life expectancy it has. Just about all of us have had neck dissections, parts of our mouths removed including teeth, then it is never ending pain. I also had to have my second abdominal aneurysm surgery because of a recurrence, which is a 1 in a million deal, at Allegheny General in Pittsburgh, and they could only repair the top part of it because of the cancer. This cancer needs more publicity because we find out after we get it. It is a very fast spreading disease that kills one person every hour of everyday.
