How long is a bottle of Novolog insulin good for?

An unopened vial of NovoLog insulin is good until the expiration date (it is best stored in the refrigerator).
An opened vial is good for 28 days whether or not it is refrigerated; room temperature insulin is better tolerated (less burning sensation with injection) than refrigerated insulin.
