The neurotransmitter associated with Alzheimer’s are many. Alzheimer's disease is characterized by degenerative changes in many of neurotransmitter systems. These include alterations in the function of the neural systems that release glutamate, norepinephrine, and serotonin which help people feel good. From what I’ve read depression is quite common in Alzheimer’s. There isn’t just one neurotransmitter associated with Alzheimer’s disease but many.
