My mother is a 63-year-old widow. She has been drawing Social Security as a widow since she was 60. My dad was self-employed, so my Mom only has self-insurance and no prescription coverage, but owns property. Mom was diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer earlier this year. She now needs a second round of chemo and has a temporary iliostomy. Is she eligible for any further assistance?
