My mother is 86 and, in my opinion, in need of entering an assisted living facility. My sister, the executor of the estate and her living trust, does not believe that the trust is required to fund any assisted living arrangements for my mother. I disagree and believe that any assisted living expenses would be paid by the trust. Am I correct? Is there a heirarchy of payments that apply to assited living?
