What are the chances of my mother's stage 4 colon cancer coming back again?

My Mother is 80 years old and has had colon cancer twice since 2007. Now she is cancer free but still has to go and get shots daily instead of taking a blood thinner. Her cancer was a stage 4 in the colon. She has stopped getting treatments also...........do you think she will get it again.
