Question
My mother has been diagnosed with Parkinsons, diabetes, and psychosis and has been placed in an adult care facility by my brother in another state (He has Power of Attorney over her but is willing to relinquish his rights to let me take over her care.) He tells me that because of her condition, the trip to bring her here to my house is not recomended from the airlines point of view. (She is in Seattle, WA. and I am in Birmingham, AL) She does not have Alzheimer's, (she can remember her sisters' and my phone numbers to call us practically every day), but from the telephone conversations with her, her hallucinations seem to be getting worse. I am assuming this is from being put in this facility which consists mainly of Alzheimer's patients so she really has no one to talk to and just sits in her room imagining things. My main question is - do you think she will be okay making this move to my place? She says she wants to come.
