My mother has a reverse mortgage on her home. She had to move to assisted living last year and we tried to sell the house, but it did not sell. We have had to rent the house to pay for her care. What do we do with the reverse mortgage? I called the bank and the person said, " Do not tell the bank she is not in the home." There is a possibility she could move back in the future, although slim.
