I came across some information that seems to address this question about how melanoma and pancreatic cancer are related. Apparently, there’s a genetic syndrome called “familial atypical multiple mole melanoma,” characterized by a high mole count, that makes those who have it more susceptible to melanoma. If I understand what I read correctly, if they also have a mutation on the CDKN2A gene, they have a 17% risk of developing pancreatic cancer. I hope this is helpful. For more information, I suggest googling “melanoma related to pancreatic cancer.”
