An anonymous caregiver asked...
I have a parent with Alzheimer's living in a monthly pay home. The money will be exhausted in approximately 18 months. We moved her from a large facility to a smaller group home with only six residents to stretch the money. My question is, is there any legal obligation by the home to accept medical or Medicaid when the funds are gone? Are they allowed to force her out to a facility that accepts payment from the state?
