What are the different stages of liver cancer?
There are different types of liver cancer stages, but the one that's used for deciding treatment is useful, I think. Here's the breakdown:localized respectable, which means that the tumor is only in the liver and can be surgically removed; localized unrespectable, which means that important blood vessel structures are involved or the liver is impaired; and advanced disease, which means that all of the lobes of the liver are involved or the tumor has spread to other organs, like the lung or bone.
Other liver cancer stages would be Stage I through Stage IV, with Stage IV being the most advanced.
