What causes liver cancer?
I wondered about liver cancer causes, too. Apparently, more than half of the people with primary liver cancer have scarring of the liver (cirrhosis). This condition can be caused by alcohol abuse, hepatitis B and C, and too much iron in the liver (hemochromatosis). In other words, having a damaged liver is a big cause.
Being born with a damaged liver is another possibility. I've also read that some herbicides and chemicals (vinyl chloride and arsenic), smoking, and aflatoxins are also liver cancer causes.
i found this to be extremely helpful.
can this be caused by herteditary traits?i would like to believe that there could be that link in the causal factors of the disease.
