How deadly is kidney cancer?

Kidney cancer is very deadly if it is not caught early. Stage I and II kidney cancer is treatable and patients have a fairly good prognosis with over fifty percent living longer than five years. Stage IV kidney cancer has a much worse diagnosis with only five percent of patients living for five years.
