Isn't there a simple set of symptoms my father and I can remember that identifies a stroke? I want to print it and put in on his fridge with the a number to call.

Stroke Warning Signs
- Sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or understanding
- Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Sudden , severe headaches with no known cause (for hemorrhagic stroke)
Remember that stroke symptoms are usually painless and occur suddenly , usually affecting only one side of the body.
Call 911 immediately if you, or a loved one, experience any of these symptoms.
The National Stroke Association reports ACT FAST at the first sign of stroke:
