The drug Seroquel has been approved for its use as an antipsychotic and also for anxiety and schizophrenia. It is not one of those drugs that falls into the category of a benzodiazepine. These drugs are what we can call Xanax, Valium, and other drugs of such that help mainly with just anxiety and sleep disorders. Seroquel works on different receptors in the brain and also helps with the same category of issues, but alters chemicals in the brain in various other ways. These ways are not known as the same ones used in benzodiazepines. You should not abuse this drug like you would the others.
