No, Leukemia is not a contagious disease. It cannot be contracted by physical contact with an infected individual. It cannot be passed from one person to another by blood transfusion, sexual contact or any other form of intimate contact. However, the person who is suffering from leukemia is vulnerable to catching different types of viruses and bacteria from other people. Therefore, masks are usually used by people when coming in contact with a leukemia patient. Leukemia is also known as blood cancer. It is not a genetic disease and can only be contracted if you are exposed to radiation, genetic abnormalities or carcinogenic/cancer-causing materials.
