Humira and infliximab are both medications used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, and other medical conditions. Infliximab is the main ingredient in Remicade; while Humira is the trade name for the ingredient adalimumab. Both are very effective, but one may work better than the other for different people. Most likely your physician will start you out on one and see how your body responds to that medication. If your body is not responding to the treatment then your doctor will most likely switch you to the other medication. They both work as TNF blockers, however Remicade is mainly given via infusion and Humira is generally a self-injection.
