Question
I was "awarded" legal and financial conservatorship of my mother in 2004 because the visiting nurses made a report to Adult Protective Services that my father was not providing adequate care for her. She has many serious health issues and needs constant care. However, I am physically disabled and I don't have much money. My mom is dependent on my father, and he refuses to pay for her care. Not only that, he is an alcoholic and has rather severe short-term memory loss. And my mother refuses to leave my father to go to a skilled nursing facility. I live in California. What are my legal options if they refuse to cooperate with my suggestions for Mom's care?
