Humira mechanism of action against plaque psoriasis. It acts by inhibiting a component of our immune system called the tumor necrossis factor (TNF), this factor promotes the inflammatory response which causes the plaque psoriasis, this inhibition is achieved with a monoclonal antibody such as Humari. Humari or Adalimumab binds to the alpha portion of the TNF preventing it from binding to its receptors and then activating them, therefore it blocks the cell response which would be the inflamatory response.
