Unfortunately there's no way to prevent or stop Alzheimer's disease. You can possibly delay or slow down the onset by eating a heart healthy diet, staying physically and mentally active. Even simple walking has helped a lot of people in the early stages. You can embark on learning a foreign language - for the rest of us who are not that ambitious, there are simple tricks like using your opposite hand to write cursive or brush your teeth; these are actually some of the best exercises for your brain. However the most powerful preventive is simply to surround yourself with happy people, laugh, sing and dance - have fun!
