How can we keep my mom safe from wandering in her assisted living facility?

My 89 year-old mother has been in a wonderful assisted-living facility for a week and seems to be adjusting fairly well. However, today she started to wander out of the facility. It seems to be difficult for her to find her way back to her room. Does anyone know of any electronic monitoring devices that would be helpful in keeping her safe?
