Are these hallucinations normal?

Mom spends all night watching tv talk shows. She has regular conversations and arguements with them. In the morning she will tell me all about her company and what she told them. She can't seem to understand that it is tv she is watching. She even insist that I bring them coffee when I get her some. Is this usual?
