What famous people have had brain cancer?
Many famous people have been effected by brain cancer including atheletes (Lance Armstrong and Scott Hamilton), musician (George Gershwin), author (Mary Shelly who wrote Frankenstein), actresses like Irene Ryan of The Beverly Hillbillies, Sandy Duncan, and Elizabeth Taylor), a movie critic (Gene Siskel of Siskel and Ebert), and of course, a notable president, Ted Kennedy and politician, Arlen Spector. While there are different forms of brain tumors, (some benign and others mailgnant), and some more agressive than others, people with diagnosed tumors have greater chances to live healthier, longer lives these days with chemo and other new, emerging treatments.
The above information is not entirely accurate. Lance Armstrong did not have brain cancer. He did have a brain tumor in addition to numerous tumors in his lungs, all of which were actually caused by his metastatic testicular cancer.
