Does Dr. Pepper cause kidney cancer?

Contrary to certain popular beliefs, Dr. Pepper is not a known cause of kidney cancer or any other kind of cancer for that matter. The reason for people believing that this brand of soda is a cause of cancer is due to the fact that the FDA at one time advised that Dr. Pepper could cause cancer since the soft drink contained the chemical saccharine, which was believed to cause cancer. However, after many studies the FDA changed their mind about this chemical and ruled that it does not cause any type of cancer or any other defects for that matter.
