Does filing income taxes for the elderly every stop? My 76-year-old father receives a monthly pension of $1200.00, monthly Social Security of $1200.00, and a monthly VA benefit of $120.00. I’ve been named POA since Dad has some dementia and I am wondering about what to expect when tax time rolls around. I was also deeded the house for $1.00 earlier this year. What kinds of information do I need to gather in order to file his income taxes or do I even need to do that?
