Does Avandia cause low platelet count?
Avandia is the motst widely tested and used type 2 diabetes medicine. It is recommended with healty eating and exercise. There are side effects that related to blood flow but does not seem to cause low platelet count in the patient's blood. Avandia is suspected to cause poor blood flow to the heart resulting in heart failure, chest pains and other related problems. But nothing has been proven so far. One has to be careful to ask the doctor and be aware of these possible problems. Patients with breathing and chest issues need to be careful before taking avandia. Patients using insulin should also be careful. Although avandia is a safe drug to take, there are persisting concerns and more study will be needed to ascertain the true side effects of taking avandia as a diabetes medicine.
