How dangerous is cervical cancer?
The danger of cervical cancer used to be much greater. In fact, fighting cervical cancer is one of those medical progress success stories. From what I've read, in the past century, deaths from cervical cancer dropped by 70%. So, that means it is largely treatable. And, when caught in the early stages, there is a greater than 90% survival rate.
Why, you may ask? Beause of the dreaded pap smear! Those few minutes of discomfort save lives every day!
