When a person has overlapping or multiple loss over their lifetime, does the process of grief ever come to an end?
I am 51 years old with age 13 and 18 sons. We lost their father, my husband in '06. After being diagnosed he only lived six weeks. (Melanoma) In '04 I lost my last living brother. My other brother passed the same year as my mother, her sister, friend (more like a brother) and my dog, as well as putting down my mom's 19 year old dog after I took her (mom) off life support. In between these wonderful years I lost two other people who were soul mates and had purpose and lessons for me in this life. I can not count the friends I lost in the 80's/90's from AIDS. There was a long break as I lost my dad in 82, I did not even know what I had yet to learn from him. That was when I was 23, at 16, my first love lived in a coma for five weeks before he died.
Recently I had a loss which tore me apart. I used to never cry, but two weeks before his 18th birthday he took his life.
I want to know if there is anyway that I can ever overcome the sadness that has seemed to be for my entire life?
