There is no connection what so ever. Hives can come from being excited or grossed out. Where on the other hand irritable bowel syndrome is pain in the abdominal area, very painful. Most people with irritable bowel syndrome have more trouble dealing with it in the mornings. People with irritable bowel syndrome can get help by taking doctor perscribed medicine, a diet high in fiber, excercise, and practice deep breathing. I myself have irritable bowel syndrome and iv'e had hives in the past, and every time my stomach would hurt I never received a hive. Well I hope this was helpful information, and take it from me when I say I know pain.

I have had hives in the middle of an acute IBS attack. I am sitting on the throne with a cramping stomach and after about ten minutes I start to itch on my neck, legs, stomach and back. The itchy bumps break out all over and remain for a couple days. This has happened on several occasions. Your body is just over reacting to stress, both physical and emotional. Take two Benadryl.
