How many people die from cervical cancer each year?

In 2009, in the United States, there were about 4,000 cervical cancer deaths.

As an abstract figure that may sound like a lot, but the cervical cancer death rate has been plummeting thanks to the introduction of the pap test.

And that is why I always tell my friends and loved ones to schedule and keep their annual appointment at the gynecologist. It takes an hour of your time and it could save your life.
