Q
If I am the owner of a CD at a bank, with my minor granddaughter as a POD, what happens should I pass away before she is of legal age? How are the funds passed on to her at my death? Will the bank pass these funds on to her in her name only, with her parents showing her Birth Certificate and proof of their guardianship? Do I need to have an attorney write a separate trust under these circumstances?
