Wellbutrin is a medication used to treat depression while Tramadol is used to treat pain that is moderate or severe. It is not recommended that these two medications be prescribed or taken at the same time because of potentially harmful side effects arising from their interaction. Wellbutrin itself is known to increase the the risk of seizures in those taking the medication. Tramadol lowers the body's seizure threshold. When mixing these two medications together the patient is at a greatly increased risk for seizure episodes. It is recommended that you give the body three days to flush one medication from the system before ingesting the other medication.
