I recently have heavy skin irritations all over my body. Mainly on the arms and legs. I can't stop scratching, it drives me nuts. Back in the 1960s when I lived up north in Canada a friend of mine had the same problem. He was scratching his legs all the time till they were a bloody mess (just like mine now). When the weather permitted we went to a hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer. It was too late to operate and he died shortly thereafter. Three years ago I had a upper and lower colonoscopy and a cat scan (also because of skin irritations which eventually went away). There was no sign of cancer. I am 71 years old an feel to be in good health, other than this itching problem. Here is my question: Is there a history that this type of skin irritation be an indication of some sort of internal cancer?
