Many supplements can render Levaquin less effective including antacids, vitamin and mineral supplements and other chewable medications such as Carafate or Videx. It is important to wait a couple of hours between the ingestion of these supplements and medications when being treated with Levaquin, be sure to wait after you take the Levaquin the couple of hours. As far as combining the two antibiotics, it will not really matter except the Levaquin is the stronger drug that will be treating your infection if you do this. In other words the amoxicillin won't be doing much if you do this.
