Can Celebrex be used with an anti-coagulant?
Answers
Celebrex is an capsule based drug that reduce numbers of colon and rectum polyps in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis. Celebrex did not change the anticoagulant effects of warfarin which is an anti-coagulant due to clinical studies but depending on post-marketing reports there are some patients who are affected and there is an increase risk of bleeding. As a result celebrex can be used with an anti-coagulant but if something goes wrong, bleeding patients should be closely monitored. For the patients who have taken anti-coagulant and than start to take celebrex, the first two three days are very important. They should be well observed for the first days.
