When was bladder cancer first discovered?
It has been known for over one hundred and fifty years, when it was originally researched by a German physician known as Ludwig Rehn. He investigated causes, symptoms, and a lot of types of treatment for the disease. He was well known for involvement in the research of urogenital tract tumors. Ludwig should be admired for his findings in the establishment of urology. Their are medical miracle doctors in our day and age that have come far along with research and should be noted. Earlier this year (2010) Dr. Elizabeth Guancial was awarded with the inaugural Bladder Cancer Research award. In an interview she stated that "she would like to reveal predictive markers for bladder cancer that can be used in clinical protocols".
