How do I avoid bladder cancer?
Avoiding bladder cancer is tricky, since no one knows for sure what causes it in the first place. For now there’s no real way to prevent the disease, but certain things do seem to lower your risk:
•don’t smoke
•try to avoid contact with industrial chemicals, especially the kinds used to make paint, rubber, and textiles
•drinking plenty of water and eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables seem to help in avoiding bladder cancer, too
