My Mother has Dementia and went into an Assisted Living Facility in April. She is doing very good and adapted really well. I am concerned about the facility she is in. I have exhausted all her income paying for her care. In Mississippi we have Medicaid Waiver to help pay but she is on a waiting list and no one at the Facility seems to know how long it will take. There is now no Administrator. The owner is letting the place go down and was recently written up by the State. Now the employees' pay checks are bouncing, the Electric and Water has been disconnected several times for non payment. My question is, should I look for another Facility to move my Mother to? I am afraid this will confuse her since she is settled in there. I need some advice on how to handle this matter. I am so afraid that one day the State will close this facility.
