I worked with Asbestos for two weeks in 1976 but have never been around asbestos since. I don't smoke, drink, and I'm a runner. I worry about Mesothelioma as I get older. I understand a single exposure of asbestos can start the disease cycle for that. I believe Steve McQueen died of that in 1980 at age 50. I've also heard that family members of asbestos workers died of Mesothelioma from asbestos dust on the dad's clothing. How much does asbestos exposure increase cancer risk?

Asbestos exposure increases the risk greatly . Although you may be lucky , and not suffer asbestos-related illness at all . Good luck .
