Yes, Alzheimer’s patients are prone to wandering. Especially in later stages, they may take it into their minds to just walk off somewhere. They often get lost and be in great danger. People have come up with many ways to be alerted when someone with Alzheimer’s wanders. There are many GPS systems to track people available because Alzheimer’s patients are prone to wandering and that is very dangerous for them.
