How do we handle moving day into an Alzheimer's facility?

We are in the process of moving our mother/mother-in-law into a Alzheimer's facility. My husband is ademant he does not want to do this but can you guide us as to who should be involved. We are going to have lunch there and then just take her to her room. We aren't sure of the easiest way to do this. Thank you.
