What is the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease?
I have found that the alzheimer's disease prevalence to be about 10% of people over 65, and about 50% of people over 85 can expect to have it. Currently, about 5 million Americans suffer from the disease.
According to the Alzheimer's Association, as Americans continue to live longer, Alzheimer’s disease is expected to increase from the current 5.3 million Americans to as many as 16 million by 2050.
