I'm 58yrs and caring for my 65 year old spouse. I'm 5ft and he's 6ft5 about 274lbs. He has been chronically ill for 12 years and now is wheelchair bound. He suffers from complications from Diabetes. Neuropathy and arthritis are crippling him. I quit my job to care for him. Had him in a nursing home for about 4 months and have now brought him home. Of course he suffers from depression from chronic pain. We were doing well until we received the tragic news that his son passed away last week at the age of 43yrs complications of Swine flu. NOW, my husbands has lost what little will to live he had. I'm so very worried about him. He was making such progress with his in-home PT and getting stronger. Now he doesn't want to do much but hang his head and ask for another glass of wine and go back to bed. I knew I had stress before, but now I must find the extra strength thru this greiving process.
