Hello,

I finally have my mother living with me. Since 2005, she has survived two cancers, 6 chemo's, 36 radiation treatments, and two peck tubes. Mom was sent home from a hospital on June 3rd, 2007 and Hospice gave her 7 days to live. Fortunately, her date in "Heaven" was cancelled.

I have been her primary caregiver since June 3, 2007, with no help whatsoever from my four siblings. Mom's lucky if she even gets visits from them.

I'm hoping to share my story of the last 4 years with others in hope that I may understand why family feels only one person should be responsible for a sick parent. I also hope to help others with the knowledge I've gained from this situation.

I want nothing more than mom to live with me here; safe, happy and never lonely again.

God bless the caregivers! :-)
