I call myself an Involuntary Expert on care giving. After 8 years of research and hands on experience I feel as though I have learned alot and grown a great deal. I have taken what I have learned and have it in a printed booklet, Self Care For Caregivers: The most important person in the experience is YOU! You can download it on my website:www.joygolliver.com. I have a companion piece, Self Care For Caregivers: 161 Tips to make your life easier. I hold no cerifications or degrees in Alzheimer's or Lewybody, but after 9 years of hands on experiece I have a lot of knowledge to share with caregivers of any chronic illness. I have been there and done that. My husband of 54 years passed away on 2/20/2010 at the age of 74. I am now free to build a new life and I have choosen to continue to build my business on Self Care For Caregivers. You can find me at www.JoyGolliver.com. I speak, teach, coach and write about my experiences to help others take good care of themselves. I am interested in employee wellness and how caregiver stress and duties effect productivity. My top priority is to help people to plan ahead for any challenge they might face in the future. Then, if and when it comes, they are ready to meet it with less stress. I planned for my husband death or "Continuation Day" as I call it and it has made the process so much easier.
