Bio
Mom has severe Alzheimer's. She has lived with my husband and I for the last 9 years. We feel blessed to be more in control of our emotions and expectations at this point in the disease than we have been in the past stages. Although living with this responsibility is still difficult and sometimes heartbreaking, we embrace the few moments when she smiles and tells us, "I love you" or "you're sweet, nice, or pretty." With God as our guide, she will remain at home until the end of this life.
